Affiliate disclosure

What is an affiliate link?

Some links on this website are affiliate links. This means that if you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the retailer — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.

Which links are affiliate links?

Any link marked with the attribute rel="sponsored nofollow" is an affiliate link. In practice, these are almost always the "Check price at Amazon" and "Check price at [brand]" buttons on review pages. All affiliate links also open in a new tab.

Does this affect our reviews?

No. Every camera on this site is scored on its own merits. A product that performs badly gets a bad score, full stop. We do not accept payment from manufacturers to write reviews, and we do not give preferential scores to products that happen to generate higher affiliate commissions.

David has a professional background in physical security and his reputation depends on giving honest assessments. Compromising reviews for affiliate income is not something we would do.

Which affiliate programmes do we use?

We participate in the Amazon Associates programme and may participate in affiliate programmes run by camera brands and UK retailers. All are subject to this same disclosure policy.
